Sushi Garden

Sushi Garden is one of the best sushi places in town, especially if you’re fed up with visiting typical Japanese chain outlets. This restaurant has a big heart and a lot of soul. From the moment you step inside you feel as though you’re sitting in an authentic, vibrant and fun Tokyo café.

Choose from quirky dishes, such as ‘Spider Sushi- shhhhh! It’s excellent for man’ (4pcs £5.70/ 8pcs £10.50), or ‘Cheesy Dragon Sushi- like a girl’s secret temptation. Let yourself slide on cream cheese!’ (4pcs £5.40/ 8pcs £8.50). Or go for something more traditional like King Prawn Tempura (£7.60), Chicken Katsu (£8.00) or Salmon Teriyaki (£8.50). There’s also some great deals at lunchtime- a daily selected lunch set for just £5.50!

Moshi Moshi

Moshi Moshi is Brighton’s original and best-loved Japanese sushi restaurants and certainly the most eye-catching. The building in which it is situated has been built by talented architects and is very contemporary and stylish. Being located in the heart of the city in Bartholomew Square, it’s a great place to dine if you’re looking for a relaxed and sophisticated dining experience, whilst staying close to the hustle and bustle.

It’s now independently owned and takes pride in its environmental efforts, such as winning the RSPCA Award for Animal Welfare and being one of only ten restaurants in the UK that have joined the MSC certification scheme for sustainability. Something every sushi restaurant should look up to!

Food here is fantastic- bold yet simple. The ingredients used are seasonal and most importantly, very fresh! Why not treat yourself to a cocktail or two (from £3.50) or a freshly squeezed juice.

Sushi sets are from £7.50, sashimi from £3.20, hot seasonal dishes are from £8.50, the seasonal platter is from £24.50 and soups and salads start at only £1.60.
