Devil’s Dyke Inn
If you’ve never been to Devil’s Dyke before, it’s definitely worth making the 5-10 minute drive (or take the bus) from Brighton town centre to take a look at the breath-taking views of this historic beauty spot on the South Downs. There are various walks you can explore, or you can simply watch kite flyers or cyclists from afar at the Devil’s Dyke Inn.
Moreover, Devil’s Dyke Inn offers fresh seasonal dishes and a wide selection of real ales and fine wines, which can all be enjoyed outside on a fine day, or by a roaring hot fire during the winter months. The Devil’s Dyke Inn has a great country pub atmosphere but with a contemporary edge.
It’s a great place to enjoy a Sunday roast but also offers many other dishes, including pub classics (pies and stews), seafood and grilled meats, like homemade 8oz burgers. The best bit for us are the heart-warming puddings on offer, such as butterscotch and toffee steamed pudding, chocolate brownie and apple and blackberry crumble, to name a few.
Main courses start from just £6.95 and a fixed-price lunchtime menu consists of 1 course for just £6, 2 courses for £8 and 3 courses for £10 per person. Mains from the children’s menu start from £4.95.
An extra bonus is that if you spend £10 or more, you’re reimbursed for your parking fee at Devil’s Dyke. Nice!
